Mental Health Week Mindfulness and Mobility

May 17 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join us on 17th May from 11:30 am for a gentle Mindfulness and Mobility session in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week. With this year’s theme focused on community, we’re creating a space to slow down, connect inward, and reflect together on what it means to belong and be supported.

We know that strong social connections can make us feel happier, healthier, and more resilient. Communities offer a sense of belonging, purpose, and support—especially in challenging times. But not everyone has equal access to that support or to mental health care. People from marginalised groups—including racially and ethnically diverse communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent people, disabled people, women and those living with long-term health conditions—often face higher rates of mental health challenges. These can be made worse by stigma, lack of culturally competent or inclusive services, misdiagnosis, long wait times, and not feeling seen, heard, or safe in traditional care settings.

This session blends mindful mobility movements and breath with quiet reflection and connection. It’s an opportunity to reset, share space, and honour the communities that nurture our wellbeing.

No experience needed. Just bring yourself, wear something comfortable, and come as you are. Let’s move, breathe, and reflect – together!
