We at Painless Universal are incredibly proud to have our CEO and Founder, Lady Anne Welsh, host the recent Inclusive Circle Benefit Cuts gathering. It was inspiring to see so many passionate individuals and organisations come together to address such a critical issue. The collective energy and commitment to creating a more just and inclusive society made this event a powerful catalyst for change.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. We owe immense thanks to our esteemed panelists: our CEO and Founder, Anne Welsh, Marc Goblot, Dan Edge, and Arun Veerappan. Their invaluable insights and expertise provided a crucial framework for the discussions. We are also grateful to our generous sponsors, dedicated venue partners, and every single person who lent their support, whether in person or online. Your presence and unwavering commitment to inclusion fueled an evening of profound impact.

The gathering addressed one of the most pressing issues facing disabled communities today: the detrimental effects of benefit cuts. The evening served as a platform to explore the far-reaching impact of these policies on people’s lives and to foster a dialogue around actionable solutions.

The event featured a panel of speakers, each of whom brought a unique and vital perspective to the discussion:

Anne Welsh, CEO and Founder of Painless Universal, shared her personal journey of living with chronic pain and articulated her vision for revolutionising support systems through the innovative integration of community and technology. Her insights highlighted the importance of holistic and accessible support for individuals navigating chronic health conditions.

Marc Goblot, founder of Tech For Disability, offered invaluable insights into the intersection of accessibility, technological innovation, and social justice, drawing upon both his professional expertise and lived experience.

Dan Edge, a dedicated disability advocate and consultant, provided a powerful analysis of the importance of representation, inclusion, and resilience in the face of systemic challenges.

Arun Veerappan, a leading voice for disabled police officers, highlighted the critical need for equitable access to benefits within public service systems.

Hosted at Kindred, which we consider our home for the Inclusive Circle, the event brought together a diverse audience, both in person and online. The evening was characterised by deep reflection, constructive dialogue, and a palpable sense of shared purpose and community.
